Terminated NHM employees pin hopes on PM Modi | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 23: Youth engaged under National Health Mission on Saturday staged a protest against the government's decision to discontinue their services. Talking to reporters, protesters said that they have decided to call off the protest for 2-days as they don't want to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi by sitting on roads. "We are hopeful that the Prime Minister will make an announcement in our favour. We have pinned all our hopes on PM Modi's visit," they said. Protesters said that if the government fails to take any decision in their favour their protest can take the shape of full-fledged agitation. "Leaders of all political parties came here and met us but one of the leaders from ruling BJP came to us. But we met the senior BJP leaders and they assured us that our issue will be resolved. We are hoping that our contracts will continue," they said. |
