Kashmiri migrants, Non-migrants urge Union Govt to fulfill demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 6: Apprising burning issues of Kashmiri migrants and Non-migrants of Kashmir valley urged the union government to fulfill their various demands, the Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha has submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union MoS in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh under the leadership of its chairman /president Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan. Mahajan said that the Kashmiri migrants and Non-migrants are reeling under pathetic condition for a long period of time. He demanded enhancement of monthly cash relief to relief holders, creation of additional 35000 posts in Govt Deptt /Semi/ public in ieu of 27000 migrant employees who had retired since last 32 years and on spot recruitment drive in all police forces for unemployed youths, grant of special financial package in Prime Minister's self employment & skill development for starting up the businesses/ SSIs venture / MSMEs, grant of minority status to seven lakh Kashmiri Hindus, issuance of EPIC/voter card and adding of MPB, M and 12-C forms system in the election process, grant of time bound promotions, giving benefit of SRO 43 of 1994 with all benefits of death compassionate appointment to the family of deceased, SRO 194 of 2020 should be revoked immediately, immediate allotment of quarters to employees appointed under PM package living in private rented rooms, provide pending TRT accommodation to those non-camp migrant families who are living in private rented accommodations, immediate release of pending Ayushman Bharat (SEHAT) Golden Cards, to start registration process for those Kashmiri migrant families who are not registered due to certain reasons in the relief organization during last 32 years of exile. J&K migrant pensioners must be given Rs 3000 medical allowance with treatment concession, release of compensation and ex-gratia etc in favour of all migrants and those who have suffered heavy losses due to disaster of floods and snowfall, dilapidated condition of house structures, orchards, agricultural crops and business establishments during last 32 years of turmoil, permanent rehabilitation and resettlement of seven lakh Kashmiri migrants in a separate homeland within Kashmir valley. |
