Enable youngsters to play their designated role for betterment of J&K: Chib | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 6: Several prominent persons from different areas of Jammu city today under the leadership of AAP leader Sandeep Singh Chib joined Aam Admi Party on Friday. Welcoming the new entrants, Chib said this will further reinvigorate the youth movement, enable youngsters to play their designated role for betterment of the state. While the youthfulness inspires all of us, I feel sad that our youth have been saddled with disempowerment. The youth of today is taking over a legacy which is mired in political disempowerment. We are handing over a very depleted and disempowered J&K and I feel sad that unlike youths in other states enjoying their youthfulness, the youth in J&K have to get together to empower their people and get back their basic rights which have been snatched away", Chib said. Asking the youth activists to organize themselves at the local ground level in a decentralized manner, Chib asked them to lead a collective effort to bring about a change. "You are the harbingers of Change and you have to work together and with utmost dedication and conviction to be a source of reprieve for the people. Together, the youth can lead a historic effort to rid the State of political opportunism and deceit", Chib further said. Chib lambasted BJP government for pursuing anti-youth policies in Jammu & Kashmir, saying that shrinking of jobs has pushed educated unemployed to wall.He said that nepotism and favoritism has become official policy of the 'insensitive' government, as a result of which meritorious and eligible candidates are being ignored. This has brought the state to a piquant situation wherein youth are finding their future bleak, he added. He said that unemployment is one of the burning issues in the UT, which calls for a multi dimensional approach of government to tackle the burgeoning problem."Due to lack of direction, the recruitment agencies are moving in a snail's pace for filling up the vacancies", Chib said, adding that the so-called fast-track recruitment of the present government has proved yet another hoax. Those who joined said that they have always been looking for an opportunity to work for the vision of the Aam Admi Party and its leader Arvind Kejriwal."We assure that we will work hard to reach out to the people and strengthen the party at the grassroots level and ensure that the ideological and developmental discourse of the party is spread across the youth," they said. |
