JAMMU, May 6: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Akhnoor organized Inter-School Zonal Level Sports competitions-cum-trials in Tug-of-War, Cricket and Chess for U-14 & U-17 Girls and Boys at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor.
The competitions were organized under the supervision of ZPEO Akhnoor Tarsem Singh on the direction of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma in which at least 220 boys and 110 girls drawn from different govt and private institutions of Zone Akhnoor participated. The matches were officiated by the trained officials of the department.
ZPEO interacted with the participants and advised them to take part in game, sports and physical exercise regularly for their overall personality development.
Prominent among others who were present included Ashok Kumar, Ramesh Chandar, Madan Lal, Pritam Lal, Chandar Prabha, Sujata Kumari, Sushma Devi, Rita Sharma, Manjeet Kour, Vijay Tangra, Jagdev Singh, Vikram Jamwal. |
