Traffic Police launches special drive against non-fixation of HSRPs | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 6: Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP (Traffic) Rural Jammu along with the concerned territorial traffic supervisory officers launched a special drive against the traffic violators for non-fixation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRPs) in all Districts of Traffic Rural Jammu. During special drive, 194 Challans against the violators for non-fixation of HSRPs have been conducted and fine of amounting to Rs. 62,600 had been realized and nine vehicles were seized. The officer stressed upon the enforcement officers of Traffic Rural, Jammu to impose special & random traffic checking Nakas in their respective areas and take stringent action under the provisions of new amended M.V Act against the traffic violators. The special focus be maintained over HSRPs & other visible offences. Moreover, special awareness events be organized to awake the general public especially youth about the traffic laws and other road safety measures. The officer especially focused on the challan officers to ensure proper discipline, accountability & transparency in the traffic management system and also urged the general public for installation of HSRPs in their respective vehicles through concerned RTOs/ARTOs within 15th of May-2022, as per the standing directions of Government of J&K, failing which strict action under M.V. Act against the vehicle owners, who use vehicles without number plates will be taken being a huge security risk. |
