Female Multipurpose Workers Association support pen down strike | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 19: Jammu & Kashmir Female Multipurpose Workers Association under the Presidentship of Neelam Kumari organized an urgent meeting to discuss their long pending demands and supported the pen down strike on May 24. She urged all the employees to observe the strike. During meeting leaders of employees demanded Departmental Promotion Committee (Promotions) of all categories in the health department. They alleged that the administrative department of Health & Family Welfare has failed to frame rules of promotions and conduct a department, which has been pending for the last four years. Several higher grade posts have been lying vacant in the department for many years. So many health employees have been retired without getting their promotion benefits. Patient also suffered due to shortage of staff in health institutions. They also alleged that the administration failed to resolve the permanent salary issue of Female Multipurpose Workers and other staff getting salaries under Head -2211 Family Welfare. The salary of FMPH Workers and other staff has been pending for the last five months, and the employees and their families have been facing hardship and are on the verge of starvation, and many are not getting their treatment due to not being the released of their salary. |
