Jammu, May 31: Directorate of Economics & Statistics, J&K conducted two days training programme on “Consumer Price Index” on 30th &31st May, 2022 in the Auditorium of DES, Jammu under the able guidance and patronage of Director General, Economics & Statistics, Ms. Satvir Kour Sudan.
The Director General in her inaugural address emphasized on the importance of training programme and also apprised the participants regarding the importance of Consumer Price Index in estimating the real value of wages, salaries, and pensions; to regulate prices; and to deflate monetary magnitudes to show changes in real values.
Training was imparted by Joint Director, NSO, MOSPI,GOI, Ms Monami Mitra and Assistant Director, Mr. Divyansh Shukla .The workshop was attended by Regional Director, Evaluation & Statistics, Jammu, Joint Director Central, Joint Director Survey, District Statistics & Evaluation Officers of Jammu division , officers and officials of DES, Regional Director Jammu. Officials from the Kashmir Division participated through virtual mode in the workshop. |
