Baisakhi festival celebrated at Dera Nangali Sahib with fervour

POONCH, Apr 14: Basakhi which marks the beginning of new Bikrami Year, birth anniversary of Khalsa Panth and harvesting season was celebrated with traditional fever and gaiety at Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch under the overall supervision of Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji.
On the occasion, Hundreds of pilgrims from Jammu, Srinagar, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, England, USA and other parts of the country attended the religious sermon.
On the ocassion, The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages (JKAACL) Under the supervision of Sh. Bharat Singh (JKAS) Secretary (JKAACL), Directorate of Tourism Jammu and CEO Poonch Development Authorities actively participated in the celebrations of Baisakhi Festival at Dera Sahab Nangali Sahib Poonch where thousands of devotees pay obedience to Sri Guru Granth Sahab and celebrate the day with full of charm.
During the Smagam, Ragi Jathas Bhai Surinderpal Singh Ji from DGPC Jammu, Bhai Sartaj Singh,Ranjeet singh from Digiana Ashram Jammu, Bhai Harcharan Singh Hazuri Ragi DGPC Poonch, Bhai Jagsheer Singh from Patiala,Bhai shavinder Singh from Rajisthan Bhai Bupinder Singh from Dera Nangali sahib Poonch and other ragi Jathas recited the gurbani kirtan.
District administration under the supervision of district department Commissioner Poonch , Inder Jeet extended their full support for smooth and successful conduct of festival especially department of JPDCL, Jal Shakti, Health department, Ayush Unit Poonch, JK Police , PWD , Rural Development Department, Directorate of Tourism Jammu,CEO Poonch Development Authorities, J&K Cultural Academy and others extended their full support.
J&K Cultural Academy, Directorate of Tourism Jammu and CEO Poonch Development Authorities engaged the Gatka Performer Groups alongwith the groups of local drum beaters who performed at the end of religious ceremony held in the Gurudwara Sahab and mesmerized the audience.
At the end of Gatka Performance Some mementos were distributed to performers through Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch.
Dr Tanveer Ahmed Khan CEO, PDA, Dr Alamdar Adam Cultural officer JKAACL Rajouri Poonch, Narinder Singh President DGPC Poonch, Surjan Singh Ex-General Secretary Gurudwara Parbandak Committee and many others were also present at the time of felicitation.
Mahant Manjeet Singh served Guru Ka langer among the devotees.
