Anti-Vikar Rasool faction gets no response from Gandhi family | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 30: After getting no response from All-India Congress Committee J&K incharge Rajni Patil, detractors of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief Vikar Rasool Wani have ultimately knocked on doors of the “Delhi Darbar” to undermine the authority of Vikar Rasool Wani. Highly placed sources said that the dissidents’ group of J&K Congress has sought time from AICC president Sonia Gandhi and AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra but they have not given time so far. “Dissidents have decided to extend their stay in Delhi to get an appointment with either Sonia Gandhi or Priyanka Gandhi Vadra”, a source said and added that as of now they have not given any time for the meeting. Sources said that Congress high command has authorized AICC incharge Rajni Patil to sort out differences in J&K Congress but dissidents are not ready to listen to her and they want to convey their message to Gandhi family. Sources said that after dissidents were not given an appointment with Sonia Gandhi they decided to meet AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi. Although dissidents have termed their Delhi visit as “routine” to discuss the prevailing political situation with the high command, they complained about Vikar Rasool Wani. Meanwhile, according to a report published in local media, JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla has challenged the authority of JKPCC chief Vikar Rasool Wani and asserted that district presidents have the authority to make appointments. |
