SHIMLA, June 6: Jamuna Singh, a Satat Shikshak from Pinegrove School Dharampur, was honored by HIMCOSTE with a Certificate of Honour (Sammaan Patra) as part of the State Environment Leadership Awards. The prestigious award was presented by the Honourable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, in Shimla on World Environment Day.
The event recognized Jamuna Singh's outstanding dedication in promoting environmental awareness within the school and the community. She was one of the fifteen teachers from Himachal Pradesh acknowledged for their continuous efforts in strengthening the National Green Corps Programme through the Satat Project on "Waste Management."
As a member of the Earthian and Satat Community, Jamuna Singh has consistently worked towards cultivating a culture of sustainability both at home and in the school. Her contributions have made a significant impact on fostering environmental consciousness. |
