Hiranagar: Criminals abduct school girl in broad daylight, people aghast; urge Police to act | | | EarLY times report
Hiranagar (Jammu), June 6: Residents of Hiranagar on Tuesday staged a protest against an abduction of a school girl in broad daylight. “It’s unfortunate that criminals have become so bold and daring that they abducted a girl from the National Highway under the very nose of police,” said a protester. “Its sheer gunda-raaj and it needs to end,” he added. Jagdish Chander, a local shopkeeper, said, “Around 7:30 am the school girl was standing at a bus stop. Three to four boys in a red car appeared near the bus stop and forcibly pushed her into the car.” He said, “Police needs to act and catch these criminals. The missing girl should be traced and culprits be booked so that it serves as a deterrent.” Chander said, “A few days ago i.e. on May 26, 2023, criminals snatched a bag from a shopkeeper Ramesh Kumar. But till date the accused haven’t been arrested.” “We are not saying that Police are not working but the culptits have been traced yet. There’s a possibility the same gang which lotted Ramesh Kumar may be involved in the girl’s abduction also,” he added. |
