Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 6: A training program sponsored by BPR&D New Delhi on "Safety of Women" and another program on "Cyber Forensics" have started at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy. The courses are being attended by 38 police officers from various wings of the J&K Police. The inaugural function was graced by Rajinder Kumar Gupta, JKPS, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor), who welcomed the participants on behalf of the Director SKPA. He emphasized the importance of enhancing professional competence as investigating officers to effectively handle cases related to offenses against women and children, including cybercrime. The "Safety of Women" course aims to improve investigation skills and knowledge of relevant laws such as POCSO, JJ Act, and IT Act. The "Cyber Forensic" course focuses on collecting digital evidence, e-mail tracking, mobile forensics, and IDPR. Esteemed guest faculties from different institutes, as well as the academia, will share their extensive experiences with the participants. The inaugural session was also attended by Dr. Kavita Suri, Director Lifelong Learning University of Jammu, and Nayeem Abass Hamdani, Cyber Consultant and faculty of SKPA. The "Safety of Women" course is coordinated by Sanjeev Gupta and Inspector Vikrant Singh, while the "Cyber Forensic" course is coordinated by Nayeem Abass Hamdani, Cyber Consultant. |
