JAMMU, June 6: Civil Defence Jammu organized a one-day awareness-cum-demonstration programme in Mandal under the close supervision of Dy. SP Rajesh Sharma, Incharge Dy. Controller of Civil Defence, Jammu. The programme saw the participation of 60 civilians who were provided knowledge about First Aid, Firefighting, CPR, and other emergency rescue methods by Civil Defence experts. The primary objective of the awareness programme was to educate the local community about preventive measures during natural or man-made disasters. Additionally, certificates for the 05-day Basic Training Course were distributed among the volunteers.
During the event, Parmjit Kumar, Chief Warden of Civil Defence Jammu, delivered a valuable lecture on Disaster Management, emphasizing the role and importance of the Civil Defence organization.
