Jammu, June 14: Poor patients visiting the Government Medical Hospital in Jammu are facing immense hardships due to them being forced to buy everything, including medicines, from the open market. A poor family which had come to the hospital to get their kid treated while talking to a news channel said, “We are poor people. We have neither been provided medicine nor any other items.” They said, “Our child is suffering but he has been left to fend on his own. There is no difference between a government hospital and a private hospital.” “We have been waiting to get our child treated but no doctor has come to see him,” they said, adding, “It seems the Ayushman Bharat Health Card is not meant for the poor people.” The poor kid was seen lying on the cot outside the hospital and waiting for doctors to come. |
