Jammu police seizes 5 vehicles involved in illegal mining | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 14: Jammu Police has taken action against illegal mining activities in the region by implementing a multi-pronged strategy. Police teams from various police stations, including PS Jhajjar Kotli, PS Arnia, PP Pounichak, PP Sidhra, and PP Pallanwala, conducted raids based on specific inputs and seized five vehicles involved in illegal mining. The details of the seized vehicles are as follows: One Tipper with Registration No. JK21A2679 seized by PS Jhajjar Kotli. One tractor trolley without Registration No. seized by PS Arnia. One tractor trolley with Registration No. JK02DB 7893 seized by PP Pounichak. One tipper with Registration No. JK02CG 3930 seized by PP Sidhra. One tractor trolley with Registration No. JK02 CR 6803 seized by PP Pallanwala. The respective police officers, including Inspr Azad Ahmed (SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli), Inspr Deepak Katoch (SHO PS Arnia), PSI Nitish Khajuria (I/C PP Pounichak), PSI Arun Kumar (I/C PP Sidhra), and PSI Vijay Kumar (I/C PP Pallanwala), were responsible for the recoveries in their respective areas of jurisdiction. The District Mining Officer (DMO) of Jammu was also informed about the seizure. It was discovered that the mining activities were in violation of an order from the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir. In an effort to strictly enforce measures against illegal mining and take action against those breaking the law, Jammu Police has initiated stringent actions to curb the illegal activities. |
