| Police seizes 9 gms of heroin, arrests one in Narwal | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 14: Continuing it's drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Police achieved major success by recovering 09 grams of heroin from an accused in the jurisdiction PP Narwal. A police team of PP Narwal led by SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari assisted by SHO PS Bahu Fort Inspr Shiv Dev Singh and I/C PP Narwal SI Lalit Sharma while on patrolling duty in Rajiv Nagar area rounded up a suspected person who was coming from Mohalla Rajeev Nagar Towards Narwal Chowk. During search, 9 grams of heroin was recovered from the accused later identified as Vishal Mehra S/o Balak Ram R/o Rajeev Nagar. In this regard, case FIR No. 172 /2023 U/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at PS Bahu Fort and accused got arrested. Further investigation of the case is going on. Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain. Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace.
