Early Times Report JAMMU, June 14: The NSS unit of Dogra College of Education organized a two-day "Free Health Check-up Camp" for the local community in Bhatiyari village on June 12th and 13th, 2023. The camp aimed to promote social consciousness, responsibility, and awareness towards individual health. The event began with a welcome address by Mrs. Sarika, a lecturer at Dogra College of Education, highlighting the activities organized by the NSS unit. On the first day, a team of doctors from the Block Medical Officer (BMO) conducted free health check-ups and distributed medicines to the community. On the second day, NSS volunteers raised awareness about cleanliness, sanitation, and various diseases through a door-to-door campaign. The camp saw the participation of around 65 local villagers and 25 NSS volunteers. The efforts of the NSS unit were commended by village leaders, including the Sarpanch of Bhatyari. The camp concluded with a vote of thanks by Amarjeet Kour, the NSS Programme Officer at Dogra College of Education. |
