Early Times Report JAMMU, June 14: The NSS unit of Govt. College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu celebrated World Blood Donors Day under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav. The event, held under the patronage of Principal Prof. Sameru Sharma, honored the volunteers who donated blood during the blood donation camp. In her address, Prof. Sharma highlighted the significance of World Blood Donor Day, emphasizing that blood is a precious gift that can save lives. The campus had organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with the Department of Blood Transfusion, GMC Jammu, where 60 volunteers donated blood. Prof. Bhopinder Singh, HOD Applied Sciences, congratulated the donors and emphasized the theme of this year's World Blood Donor Day: "Give blood, give plasma, share life, and share often." The event was organized by NSS volunteers under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer Dr. Raman Gupta. The staff members present at the event were also acknowledged for their support. The principal commended the NSS team for their efforts in organizing such events. |
