Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 4: A one-day awareness program recently took place at NCC Camp Nagrota, organized by Civil Defence, Jammu, under the able supervision of Deputy Superintendent (Dy.SP) Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu. The program aimed to equip NCC students with essential knowledge related to First Aid, CPR, Choking, Firefighting, and particularly the dangers of drug addiction. Civil Defence experts conducted informative sessions, including practical demonstrations on these vital topics, during the event. With the participation of approximately 500 NCC cadets, including female students, the awareness program was held within the premises of NCC Camp Nagrota. The primary objective of this initiative was to educate students on preventive measures in the event of natural or man-made disasters. Col. R.S. Jasrotia, the Camp Commander of NCC Nagrota, commended the role played by the Civil Defence organization and expressed gratitude to the Civil Defence team for organizing this crucial awareness-cum-demonstration program. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden of Civil Defence Jammu, R. Vijay Magotra, Deputy Chief Warden of Civil Defence Jammu, Ram Dayal Saini, S.I Incharge of Civil Defence Trainings, and other staff members from NCC Camp Nagrota. This one-day awareness camp not only empowered NCC cadets with life-saving skills but also reinforced the importance of preparedness and vigilance during emergencies, ensuring a safer and more resilient community. |
