Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 24: Indian Red Cross Society's First Aid training programme gives the information and the skills one need to help adults and children during many emergency situations, First-aid care is the top most priority to help people at the times of disaster. Likewise, Indian Red Cross Society, J&K UT organized an eight days First-Aid training programme for the Commercial Vehicle drivers and for the youth of the society. The training concluded today on 24th January, 2024. During the 8 days training, different topics were covered like various techniques of Disaster Management during Earthquakes, Fires, Floods, First-Aid Kit, wounds, bandages, types of fractures, bleeding emergencies, burns etc. Emergency technique of handling bleeding patient, Fracture/accident victims was also emphasized. Highlights of the programme were how to resuscitate a patient of fainting and Cardiac Arrest. Emphasis was laid on the Management of injuries, fracture, burns, control of bleeding, practical demonstrations of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and Choking. The practical and theoretical lectures were laid by Dr. Kavita Nijhon Verma & Dr. Asia Noor, Medical Officers assisted by Smt. Kanchan Devi, & Sh. Ravi Kant Magotra, Sup. Pharmacists, Smt. Naziya Banoo, FMPHW and Sh. Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist, IRCS, Jammu. A special lecture on Drug De-Addiction was also given to the participants by Ms. Manjari Singh. During the last day of session, Sh. Rohit Khajuria, General Secretary, IRCS J&K UT interacted with all the participants and issued Provisional certificates to them. The training went quite fruitful and ended on a good note. |
