CEO Rajouri pays surprise visit to check 'absenteeism'

Rajouri, Apr 8: continuing endevour to curb the alleged prevailing absenteeism within education department, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) AH Fani paid surprise visits to various schools in Kalakot Education Zones on Tuesday.
During his visit, he besides unauthorized absence of some teachers also found many irregularities including unhygienic Mid Day Meal preparations, thin admissions in the schools etc.
AH Fani during surprise visits to these schools have directed the concerned Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) to seek explanations from the concerned teachers /headmasters pointed out by him.
At Mehari he found five posts of teachers vacant in middle school and one teacher namely Bimla Sharma shown frequently on leave and the leave account was not maintained properly. He also found the quality of Mid Day Meal (MDM) very poor. At middle school at Beragoa , he found 5 posts of the teacher vacant and directed concerned ZEO Kalakot to furnish immediately details of vacant posts at both the schools and since when.
At MS at Khargalla , CEO found only 31 students enrolled in the school. He directed the staff to motivate the parents and students to increase the strength. At primary school at Jawahr Nagar, CEO found Santosh Kumari ReT teacher on leave in unauthorized manner. Only two ReT teachers were serving in this school and he has sought explanation from both of them.
CEO found only 4 students enrolled in primary school at Panglote against 14 during last academic session and directed the teachers/ReT teachers to increase the strength to at least 50. Middle School at Dodach was being run by only two ReT teachers, 3rd teacher was transferred to Sunderbani Education Zone on 9/92014 while 6 posts of the teachers were found vacant.
At Mahoo Middle School, CEO found that the new building is being constructed at a distance of 200 meters from the existing school.
CEO directed ZEO to explain his position as on whose order building was shifted to new place despite objections by deputy tehsildar and in-charge head of the school. CEO Rajouri also visited Middle School Mahal Gujjran and Middle school Balli Bhawan and passed on spot direction to concerned.
