Bivek Mathur Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 8: BJP's Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch parliamentary constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma is 'missing', according to posters that have surfaced in Poonch district. The general public who say they are annoyed at Sharma's indifferent attitude towards his constituency has put up these posters on electric poles, school buildings, toilets, and government offices' buildings. The message on these posters reads that the MP has remained conspicuously absent from the state when people of Poonch district are facing hardships due to the worst ever flashfloods and heavy rains in the region. "Jugal Kishore…was last seen in Poonch during September 2014. Anyone having any information regarding him may please convey him to come to Poonch," the posters read. The general public has also reminded Prime Minister Narendra Modi of his pre-poll promise that the country would see 'ache din' if the BJP was voted to power. Advocate Sunil Sethi, official spokesperson of the BJP, when contacted by Early Times said it is the time for Jugal Kishore to highlight the issues of the public in the Lok Sabha. "As far as assessing the situation that has arisen due to floods in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in the Jammu-Poonch constituency, party's ground level workers are giving reports of losses suffered by the public there," Sethi said. It may be mentioned that the MP had remained absent from the Lok Sabha for 21 days out of total 55 days proceedings of three sessions held between 04.06.2014 to 11.06.2014, 07.07.2014 to 14.08.2014 and 24.11.2014 to 23.12.2014 to campaign for the BJP during Assembly elections in J&K. |
