Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 8: Joining hands with separatists in opposing the construction of a composite township for rehabilitation of the militancy victims including minority Pandits in Valley, National Conference (NC) and some other political parties are furthering the cause of separatists and anti national elements in Valley. Taking serious exception to the NC leaders and other mainstream political parties statements and outbursts against the move some KP organizations have said that these parties have come in their true colours now.
Kashmir Pandit Conference (KPC) chief Kundan Kashmiri who stands for settlement of Kashmiri Pandits by carving out a separate Kashyap State within Valley said that NC and other political parties by joining the separatists and others to oppose the move regarding construction of a composite township within Valley has indicated that these parties have come into their true colours.
Kashmiri said it was the National Conference and Congress which were ruling the State when mass exodus of Pandits took place. He said both the parties failed in their Constitutional duty in ensuring the protection of minorities in Valley who became the target of selective killings.
Kashmiri also made a dig at the Hurriyat leaders and termed them traitors and worst enemies of Kashmiris. He demanded that Indian Government should withdraw the security to all Hurriyat leaders and also stop giving red carpet welcome to Pakistani leaders visiting India from time to time.
He said hell will not break with the construction of a composite township within Valley for the rehabilitation of militancy victims in Valley belonging to all communities. The separatists and some mainstrea political parties by opposing the move indicates that they are not interested in return of Pandits to Valley. Opposing the NC and separatists Rakesh Kaul former president Kashmir Samiti Delhi said that it shows that the mainstream political parties are too opposed to return of Pandits to Valley and they were hand in glove with the separatists for engineering the mass exodus of Pandits in 1989-90.
Questioning the separatists, NC and other mainstream parties to oppose the move Rakesh said when there is no harm in construction of Muslim colonies at Gujjar Nagar, Narwal and Sunjwan what harm is in construction of a composite township within Valley. The opposition by NC and other mainstream parties questions their secular credentials, Rakesh added.
He said the NC by opposing the move has proved that it was hand in glove with those forces who engineered mass exodus of Pandtis from Valley and later Party started a misinformation campaign throughout the country that former Governor Jagmohan was the brain behind mass exodus of Pandits which is not a fact.
Rakesh said that Pandits being aborigines of Kashmiri have thousands years old history and no power on earth can deny them their right to return to Valley. He said saner elements among Muslims will see through the game plan of separatists as well as NC and they will pay no attention to their call.
