KP Sabha hails centre for calling all party meeting
8/11/2016 9:57:33 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 11: A meeting of the Executive Body of KP Sabha, Ambphalla, was held today under the Chairmanship of K K Khosa in the Sabha premises to discuss the prevailing political scenario of the State.
The Kashmiri Pandit Sabha welcomed the initiative of the GOI to call an all party meeting to defuse the current unrest in the valley. Though the move may seem to be a belated one yet there is no denying its importance at this crucial juncture since the turmoil in the valley is now threatening to spill over to other parts of the state as well although it has already affected the normal life throughout the state. The sabha appeals the all party meeting to discuss all aspects of the problem and put up well conceived and practicable recommendations to the Govt. so that the situation can be retrieved to the satisfaction of all the stakeholders who are eagerly awaiting the restoration of peace and harmony in this turmoil ridden state. Since this is just the beginning of the dialogue process it is expected that this exercise will be an inclusive affair in which aspirations of all sections of society will be debated and people from all regions of the state participate. Since the state is a composite one, leaving out any section will render the dialogue process useless and is likely to create problems in future. After the all?party meeting is held in Delhi the delegation must visit the state and engage with all stake holders including Kashmiri Pandits both at Jammu and Srinagar before finalising its proposals which must then be implemented in letter and spirit by both the GOI and the state Govt.
