Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 11 : High court judge Dhiraj Singh Thakur has stayed the transfer order of a teacher which was issued by the chief education officer (CEO), Ramban, allegedly at the instance of deputy commissioner. The court stayed the operation of order No CEO/R/16/10015-17 of August 8, 2016 issued by the CEO on the directions of DC, Ramban. As per this order, master Ahmedullah Itoo was transferred from GMS, Kaskoot, zone Banihal, to the high school, Goyee, zone Gool, on complaint basis. The court also issued notices to the education secretary, director school education (DSE), Jammu, DC, Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz, CEO, Ramban, and ZEO, Banihal, returnable within four weeks. The petitioner's counsels submitted that the impugned transfer order was bad in the eyes of law it had been issued by the incompetent authority as it was only the DSE, who was competent to effect the transfer of a master in terms of schedule I-D of J&K CSR. Justice Thakur directed that subject to objections and till the next date before the bench, the operation of the August 8, 2016 impugned transfer would remain stayed and directed the registry to list the petition after five weeks. |
