Art of Living-AoL to host 'Kashmir: Back to Paradise Conference'

Jammu, Nov 19: Art of Living (AOL) Foundation headed by spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is set to host a day-long multi-stakeholder conference under the banner of 'Kashmir: Back to Paradise' in Jammu on Wednesday (Nov 23) in winter capital of state.
According to spokesperson of Art of Living, Kashmir, a land of celebrated traditions, peace, tranquility and ideological diversity has been passing through a state of turbulence due to protracted conflicts for over two decades.
"The Art of Living has been deeply involved in conflict resolution and has also been working with various stakeholders in the Valley. Today, there is also a need to give greater awareness to the hopes and aspirations of the people of Kashmir", the statement said and added the conference is another initiative in this directions." It said the conference will be presided over by Hon'ble MoS, Ministry of Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, while AOL founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will deliver keynote address to the audience at Abhinav Theater, Canal Road, Jammu on Wednesday.
The objectives of the conference include: Discussing ways to boost economy, Skill development, Education, Employment & promoting art and culture from the Valley and Collaborating on solutions towards a peaceful and prosperous Kashmir. During the daylong programme, the thematic papers on highly relevant subjects Kashmiri Culture - Diverse features of ideological basis and the Central Asian interface, Kashmir Conflict - Innings and repercussions, Kashmir - Dialogue and reconciliation for sustainable peace and Kashmir - The part ahead for progressive development will be presented followed by interactive discussions with the audience.
The conference according to the statement, will provide a platform to stakeholders from state viz. Gujjar Bakarwals, Teachers , Ex-militants, Stone-pelters, Sufi representation Traders’representatives and etc
