SHO shifted after clash between supporters of 2 politicians
11/19/2016 11:13:15 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 19: For allegedly not taking action against the accused, following a clash between the supporters of two politicians in a district of Jammu region, the SHO of the concerned police station has been transferred and attached to the district police lines.
After the clash, that took place a few days back, supporters of an ex-minister attacked a rival group member outside his residence with lethal weapons, injuring him seriously.
However, after the other politician, a minister in the BJP-PDP government, found that the SHO was dragging his feet in taking action against the accused, he spoke to senior police officers and got him transferred forthwith, police sources said.
"The new SHO is the minister's blue-eyed officer. This is his third transfer in a few months. He has also served as SHO of a border police station," sources informed.
"The two politicians are bitterly hostile towards each other and often keep on targeting the officers who do not toe their line," sources said.
