Jammu, Nov 20: Three days long Sports Cum Athletics Meet of Humanity Public School was held today . The Chief Guest was Th. Gulchain Singh Charak (Former Minister & President Dogra Sadar Sabha), O.P. Bhagat (Chief Education Officer -SAMBA) presided over the function, Shailo Ram (Tehsildar, Bari - Brahmana) was the guest of honour.
The function started with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by the recitation of Saraswati Vandana. The main attractions of the closing day were Cross Country (5 Km) of Boys & Girls , 100, 200, 300 & 400 meter races of both (boys & girls). Spoon Lemon race, Spoon Marble race, Balloon bursting, three leg race, Shoe & Socks race, Brick Race, Tug of War, Duck Fighting, speed ball competition, Martial arts (Matsogi Do), Duck fighting, Pyramid Making, Basket ball, Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, Badminton etc.
In cross country 5 km Boys race Rahul got first place while Mohin & Tushar got 2nd & 3rd places respectively. In girls category Chetna got first place while Sonia & Diya got 2nd & 3rd places respectively. Kho-Kho competitions of both boys & girls were won by Akash House. In duck fighting Trishool house got the first prize. In 100 meter races of both boys & girls the winners were Arun, Yasmeen, Aman, Sonia Yadav while the winners of different races were Sumit, Yasmeen, Ranjan, Deepak, Sonia, Azran, Shaidu, Pushpinder, Yogesh, Chetna & Arushi. The winners of Kabbadi competition boys & girls were Agni & Prithvi Houses respectively. In Matsogi Do competition Prithvi House got first place by winning 16 gold medals in overall age groups. The Tug of war was won by Prithvi House. In Table Tennis Udbhav Chouhan won the Gold Medal. In spoon marble race the winners were Pariksha & Shahin . The winners of Balloon Bursting are Khushi, Kavya & Sajid.
In the end Chief Guest presented Medals and Trophies to the winners of different competitions. Later Chief Guest & Guest of Honour and other dignitaries were facilitated by the Principal of the school in the presence of Anku Charak (Vice Principal) Akashdeep Raina (Incharge).
Beside them the other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Barinder Singh (Naib. Tehsildar), Kr. Samardev Singh Charak (Secretary. Dogra Educational Trust), Sh. Goutam Singh (Sarpanch Birpur ), Jenab. Sadiq Malik (Sarpanch Lower Birpur ), Sh. Ajit Singh Charak ( Sarpanch, Dabbar Harsa), Sunny Nanda ( President Speed ball Association), Rted. Capt. Gopal Singh, Pushpinder Bharti (International Body Builder), Anil Kumar (Owner Iron Rush Fitness Club), Sh. Vinod Sharma (AEE PWD), Gagandeep Singh (JE PWD) and Radhesham (JE PWD).
Vote of thanks was presented by Anku Charak (Vice Principal) of the school. The stage was managed by Sandeep Zutshi, Amita Choudhary & Sapna Mehra while all the sports events took place under the supervision of Ajay Sharma, Mahan Singh & Harish Nagyal. |
