Rajouri, Nov 20: In a remote village in Rajouri district three members of a family fell sick while three buffaloes died when the poisonous gas was produced during cleaning of big plastic barrels with hot water to be used for storing of drinking water.
Sources said that the plastic barrels which are used to carry chemicals for big industrial houses are easily available in the markets after the chemicals were used.
According to family sources the buffaloes either were killed after drinking the the waste water used to clean the barrels or due to poisonous gas.

All three are namely Phoolan Begam w/o Abdul latief, Parviaz Ahmed and Yaseer sons of Mohd Bashir were referred to government medical college hospital (GMCH) Jammu as the district hospital was not equipped to handle such cases.
A police team along with veterinary doctor today visited the village and conducted the postmortem of the buffaloes on spot. Police has started investigation in this matter.
However, no case was registered in this matter as the incident doesn't fall under any section of law" said a senior police officer.
