Jammu, Nov 20: Fourth death anniversary of late Girdhari Lal Jangral- a renowned folk singer and social worker was observed at its native village Chohala of R S Pura by his family members.
According to press release, he is popularly known as Mahant of musical groups of the area being a melodious folk singer who lent his voice for Mata de jagrate, TV programmes, radio programmes, stage shows for over Sixty years till his last breathe.
Paying tribute to renowned folk singer, various musical troops paid tribute to Girdhari Lal by singing their compositions and bhajans which appreciated by guests.
On this occasion, a satsang was also organiged in which the great soul was qouted as example who devoted his whole life in serving the people through singing created communal hormony .
The prominent who graced the death anniversary including Bishan Dass, Rattan Lal, Dr. Chaman Lal, Sodagar Mal Retd DSP, Surider Kumar and many other.
In the end, langer was also served among the people. |
