Compensation demanded for the saffron growers of Kishtwar 11/22/2016 10:00:44 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar, Nov 22: Saffron growers of Kishtwar today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari where the effected farmers demanded immediate release of compensation. The Saffron growers of Kishtwar said that cash crop has got totally effected due to the drought and the farmers who have drawn loan under KCC scheme from various bank and financial institutions are not in a position to return the installments to the financial institutions concerned. Joginder Bhandari, a renowned social activist of District Kishtwar has urged upon the central government to waive off the loan upto 2 lakhs in view of the drought under which the Saffron growers and other farmers crops got badly effected.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
