Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 22: Clandestine visit of Yasin Malik to Tral giving slip to security forces and eulogizing slain militant Burhan Wani there in public domain openly exposes his sympathetic tendency towards militant cadres operating in Kashmir.
Media reports appearing in press reveal that Yasin Malik leading JKLF organization stealthy drove to Tral village at night which is a native village of slain militant commander Burhan Wani. As carried in media reports, he addressed a group of people there chanting pro-freedom and pro- Burhan Wani slongans and provoked local youth emotionally with impunity referring to Burhan Wani to support the shutdown calendar for continuing so called struggle for Azadi.
Those who openly laud militants manifesting their support and sympathy with such anti-India groups is sufficient reason for government to establish mutiny launched by them against state and invoke relevant law against such persons like Yasin Malik to put them behind bars, said a law-maker wishing not to be named and added that who will bell the cat is a million dollar question. He rued that such a compassionate approach of the government with people like Malik has proved very costlier to the public who suffered tremendous loss of life and property due to whims and vagaries of separatists.
Locals said that four months shutdown of Kashmir Valley has broken the back of general masses now unwilling to continue to be a part of aimless azadi movement started and intensified by separatists exploiting kashmiris due to killing of local militant. Now as a part of well thought out conspiracy of separatists, Yasin Malik seems to have been planted now to raise his ugly face in Tral hoodwinking security forces for encashing the sentiments of local population in Tral area on the name of Burhan Wani to perpetuate their sinister agenda, they added
Recalling the ill timed decision to set free majority of stone pelters from jail by PDP-BJP government before beginning of unrest after 8 July, a veteran politician pleading anonymity said that the present dispensation has yet not learnt the bitter lesson of such a hasty decision to appease people of valley which enrolled more young lads to pelt stones with more vigour and intensity during over four months unrest in Kashmir. Government should give a re-look to such a policy which backfired given the recent unrest in valley, he added.
A Kashmir watcher said that laxity of government can be measured from the fact that the people who kindled fire for engulfing whole valley into conflagration are still being shown leniency to roam about freely without fear. Recent glaring example vividly pertains to Yasin Malik who turned up in Tral from Srinagar on haunting spree for engaging young generation to follow the dictates of separatists' shutdown calendar which they want to continue despite reluctance of people to oblige separatists, he pointed out.
Sources in the valley told that separatists leader like Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwize Farooq and Yasin Malik were the prime manipulators behind the curtain to instigate young people for unleashing lawlessness in the valley which is open secret and well known to security and intelligence agencies of the government.
They lamented that had the present government mustered up enough guts and grits to sternly control these three masterminds and cut them to size at the very outset, the four months unrest in Valley could have been considerably scuttled avoiding death of local kashmiries and destruction of public and private property there. It is time to lay hands on them as per law and restrict such people to spread their tentacles for injecting venom in the minds of gullible people, they added.
