People protest against MC Hiranagar 11/22/2016 10:42:05 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Nov 22: Alleging non serious approach of concerned Municipal Committee towards maintaining sanitation in the town, the people and shopkeepers of Hiranagar today held a strong protest against the Municipal Committee Hiranagar for its failure to clear the clogged drains which are overflowing sewage on roads. Led by Nant Ram Dogra Gen Secy Congress, the protestors raising against the officer of the department alleged that all the drains of this locality are clogged are over flowing in streets resulting into unhygienic surroundings in the area. Traders alleged that the foul smell emitting from sewage ois causing huge loss to the business community as consumers prefer to visit other markets instead of visiting to this area. Several requests have been made to the executive officer of Municipal Committee Hiranagar but all in vain.
