KATHUA, Nov 29: Police nabbed the drug peddlers indulging illegal trade of illicit liquor on specific information.
As per information, Ajay Singh Jamwal, SHO Police Station Rajbagh assisted by Incharge Police Post Marheen under the direction of SDPO Border and overall supervision of Pawan Parihar, SSP Kathua laid a naka at Chak Nathan and intercepted a Maruti Car bearing registration no. JK08B-0470.
During checking of the vehicle recovered 50 bottles of Punjab excise liquor and arrested two persons namely Surjeet Singh son of Bishan Dass resident of Bambang Tehsil and District Pathankot and Dharam Paul son of Hari Dass Tehsil and District Pathankot.
In this connection, a case FIR No.262/2016 U/S 50(1) Excise Act has been registered against the accused persons at Police Station Rajbagh and investigation is going on. |
