Jammu, Nov 29: Just as normalcy is beginning to return to beleaguered Kashmir valley after over four months of devastation, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has started shedding crocodile tears for those who are responsible for the bloody turmoil in the Valley that left it scarred and wounded.
According to media reports, Omar Abdullah has asked incumbent State Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to release all those instrumental for creating lawlessness and setting Kashmir on fire during four months shutdown and unrest at the behest of separatists and their handlers in Pakistan.
Terming the demand of NC leader as rubbish, Rashid Ahmed, local said he fails to understand the mind and logic of NC leader prompting him to demand the release of culprits without facing the law of the land under which they have been booked and put behind the bars.
"When the Government is trying hard to put a lid on the anti-national activities of anti-national forces operating in the valley, asking for release of persons arrested during unrest by none other than former Chief Minister ostensibly speaks of his prejudicial attitude siding with separatist leaders", he added. Reminding Omar Abdullah of aggravated incidents of stone pelting manifold after release of stone pelters from jails early this year by the incumbent government, Kashmir watcher pointed out that the act of NC working president is purely politically motivated with an eye on future assembly elections which is likely to be a gigantic task for NC.
Omar Abdullah does not seem to be more worried about larger interests of kashmiries who are still shocked and trying to come out of loss of life and property tremendously suffered after eruption of unrest from July this year, he added.
Dismissing the advice of NC leader to Chief Minister Mahbooba Mufti to use her power for releasing hooligans, Pardeep Koul said that he (Omar) should desist from meddling with the functioning of the administrative machinery of the government.
Let only law of the land prevail and be allowed to take its own course with regard to disposal of cases against all those arrested while supporting and obeying illegal dictates of Separatists to make the lives of people worse than hell during four months unrest, he stated suggestively.
