BSF guns down 3 terrorists, foils infiltration bid in Samba
DIG, 4 jawans injured in explosion

Samba, Nov 29: Alert and vigilant troops of Border Security Force (BSF) today successfully foiled an infiltration bid by gunning down three heavily armed terrorists along the International Border in Ramgarh sub-sector of Samba district on Tuesday, officials said.
They said a group of terrorists tried to infiltrate in Ramgarh sector in Samba, but their attempt was thwarted by alert BSF men.
SSP, Samba, Joginger Singh, said, "An infiltration bid assisted by Pakistani Rangers was foiled by the BSF in which three terrorists were killed. Huge cache of arms -ammunition and assorted items including eatables were also recovered from slain terrorists."
"On the intervening night of November 28/29, three heavily armed terrorists around 2 am were seen inside the fenced area along the IB near BoP Fathwal in Ramgarh sub-sector. BSF troops challenged the terrorists, who fired heavily on BSF sentry posts. BSF men retaliated the and killed three intruders in a gun battle," the officials said,
They said during the encounter one jawan Sanjay Kumar sustained injuries. He was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for the specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, the arms and ammunition recovered from the slain terrorists ncluded three AK-47 riffles, 457 AK- magazine rounds, one pistol, 20 pistol magazines, seven IED's, 12 grenades, one GPS, three bags, two Motorola charger, one Mobile phone, two large knifes, one head gear, one lighter, three gloves, five packets of dry fruits, three gloves, energy drinks and some assorted medicines, they added.
Meanwhile, a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of BSF and four jawans sustained injuries in a mysterious explosion during search and combing operation on International Border in Ramgarh sector of Samba district in the late afternoon.
According to police sources, "The BSF DIG B S Kasana and four jawans were injured when a mysterious device close to the body of one of the slain terrorists exploded suddenly.
The injured jawans were identified as Inspector Paramjeet Singh, constables Sarabjeet Singh and Vikas Kumar.
