| Kishtwar based ET journo among others felicitated by Senior Citizen Counsel | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Nov 29: In order to encourage and recognize the services of various personalities from Chenab region J&K Senior Citizen Council for Peace and Civil Rights today organized an impressive function to felicitate prominent persons from various fields at Dak Bunglow Kishtwar
The function was chaired by District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan while SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir SSP was chief guest of the function in which prominent citizens of Chenab region, peace initiators, Social activists, writers, administrative officers, Sport enthusiasts who have excelled in their respective fields were facilitated
During the occasion in literary section as (Writers) Bashir Ahmad Khateeb (Bashir Bhaderwahi) and Kewal Krishan Sharma were felicitated. Thakur Dewan Chand District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kishtwar in the field of sports, Syed Zahir Abass Hashmi Principal Degree College Bhaderwah besides Chairman YCC Doda and Phulail Singh District Welfare Officer Kishtwar were honoured for their valuable contribution in their respective field / departments. Master Yog Raj of Peryaote Doda was felicitated for his activities for betterment of society and Asgar Hussain Sheikh of Red Cross Organization for his recognized activities acknowledge by the common masses.
In sports Manzoor Ahmed Butt and Faizan Ali Tramboo as pattern and General Secretary of Youth Cricket Club Doda were felicitated for promoting sports by organizing International Level Gufran Memorial Cricket tournament at Doda. Students namely Arjamund Jahan Bichoo for securing 1st position in 10th class winter zone, Ragini Dutt Pochhal for 10th position in 10+2 and topper in Kishtwar district, Rafiya Tabassum and Mudassir Ahmed B. Sc and B A part III toppers in District Kishtwar were also felicitated.
Shabir Ahmed of High School Patnazi, Aliya Yameen Bagban were also felicitated for outstanding performance in 8th class exams in the year 2015.
M A Zargar, Jamat Ali Agah and Dr Ashiq Hussain as Chairman, Secretary and treasurer of Bhelassa were honored in the field of educational environment, social sports and cultural activities.
On this occasion senior Journalist of the state Asif Iqbal Naik associated with "Early Times" was also honored for courageous and committed services in journalism, beside playing its part in promoting peace and communal harmony. Asif Naik was also associated with national Channel like Timesnow and Sahara Samay beside also contributed for online website and weekly magazine "Kashmir Life".
During his 18 year long active journalism, Asif Iqbal Naik reported on various matters including defense, social, crime and other sectors of the society and his reporting was hailed by one all. journalist Asif Iqbal Naik was awarded a Medal and certificate of appreciation while Nasir Ahmad Khora and Mushtaq Ahmad Dev were also honored with certificates of appreciation in field of Journalism . Hukam Chand Sen, late Master G R Hamal and Veeran Wazir, late Dr Krishna Hatishi and Late Mehboob Hussain Kripak of Doda were also honoured posthumously.
Earlier speaking on occasion chief guest DC Kishtwar G N Balwan and special invitee Sandeep Wazir (KPS) SSP Kishtwar appreciated the activities of senior citizen council for initiating positive and visionary programmes in the state especially in Chenab region During the occasion Dr Ashiq Hussain was appointed as Chairman Chenab region and Mehboob Qazi as District President for Kishtwar for running the affairs of Youth for Peace. |
