Lt Gen Anbu takes over as Northern Command Army Commander 12/1/2016 10:02:05 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 1: Lieutenant General Devraj Anbu today assumed the appointment of Northern Army Commander at Udhampur. The General officer was commissioned into the Sikh Light Infantry in 1980 and has extensive staff and command exposures. He commanded a Mountain Brigade in the Kashmir Valley, a Division in North East and the Indian Military Training Team in Bhutan prior to commanding the Tezpur based Corps. The General Officer also briefly commanded the Sikh Light Infantry Regimental Centre and Assam Rifles Training Centre and School. Apart from important operational staff appointments at the Division and Corps Headquarters in the North East and Jammu and Kashmir, his staff appointments include tenures at the Military Secretary branch, Staff Duties branch and as Military Assistant to the Chief of the Army Staff at the Army HQ.
