J&K state tableau artists bring laurels in "National Republic Day dance competition 2015" | | | Early Times Report
NEW DELHI, Jan 22 : J&K state tableau artists enthralled the audiences of Delhi and won 3rd position in "national republic dance competition 2015" held here today at Rashtriya Rangshalla Camp, Delhi. Thousands of spectators was witness on the occasion include all the participated states tableau artists of India. The prestigious competition was organized by Minister of Defence (MoD) in which well known expert and judges were engaged from different part of the country for this prestigious competition. "It was a matter of pride for J&K state that the J&K tableau artists got position and nominated to represent the state folk jabro-yak dance in front of the president of India on 27th January 2015 at his Residence Rashtarpati Bhavan. Only the position holder state will get these opportunities to represent and showcasing their state folk dance in front of the President of India. This year 24 states participated and represent their colourful folk Dance in competition and among them J&K was the one of the main position holder," said Arvinder Singh 'Amn' , Additional Secretary Jammu and Kashmir academy of Art, Culture and Languages. This year the J&K State Tableaux represents the "folk dance of Jammu and Kashmir" in which the J&K government showcases the rouff of Kashmir, flower dance of Ladakh and Kud dance of Jammu region on Republic Day parade at Rajpath New Delhi. |
