Nirmal Singh thanks GOI for 3382 crores for highway projects in J&K | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 22 : Senior BJP leader and MLA Billawar , Dr Nirmal Singh thanked the Centre government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving two highway projects in Jammu & Kashmir involving total investment of about Rs 3,382 crore. Dr Nirmal Singh said that the roads network of Jammu and Kashmir is in pathetic condition , which is a well known fact and projects like these will act as a boom for Jammu & Kashmir. Dr Nirmal Singh said "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always said that Government of India stands committed to improve the infrastructure in Jammu & Kashmir. Government fulfilled its promise of improving road infrastructure in Jammu & Kashmir . Dr Nirmal Singh added "The two projects of four-laning of Ramban-Banihal section of National Highway - 1A and four laning of Udhampur- Ramban section of National Highway will be a boost for the areas aligned along the highway. These projects would provide all-weather connectivity from Jammu to the Kashmir valley. It will reduce journey time from Jammu to Srinagar and strategic border areas in the state of J&K . The shorter travelling time will increase tourism in the state ". |
