Panun Kashmir expresses concern over insensitive statement of Digvijay Singh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 22: Panun Kashmir has expressed serious concern over the insensitive statement of the senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh in which he has bailed out the majority community of Kashmir from the human crime of genocide and holocaust inflicted by them on the cent percent literate and non violent community of Kashmiri Pandits by them in 1989-90. Digvijay Singh had accused the former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Jagmohan of engineering the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir valley and said that before that both communities of Kashmiri Pandits and Kashmiri Muslim were living in harmony in the valley. Terming this statement as far from reality and figment of imagination and advising Digvijay Singh to think hundred times before putting his foot in the mouth, Vijay Bhat, President, Panun Kashmir said, "Digvijay Singh must know the events that have taken place in the contemporary politics of Jammu and Kashmir before giving loose statements. He further said, "Mosques and public places were being used for instigating the mobs to ransack the properties and business establishments of the minority community to establish the Dar ul Islam in the valley with the imposition of Sharia",. Newspapers accounts and well documented records and personal experiences of the religiously cleansed Kashmiri Pandits are testimony to all these human rights violations. Digvijay Singh is acting as the apologist of the Kashmiri Muslim communal forces and serving the interest of those who want to destabilize the nation. Panun Kashmir demands unconditional apology from both Digvijay Singh and Swaminathan Aiyar as they have tried to trivialize the most heinous crime of genocide and holocaust of the Kashmiri Pandits inflicted by the Communal the fascist Kashmiri Muslim separatists on this nationalist community in post independence secular India. |
