Jammu, Jan 22: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front Jammu and Kashmir (SKFJK) organised meeting and expressed grave concern over lack of ration supplies to the ration depots meant for Kashmiri Migrants at Jagti. Speaking on the occasion, Shadi Lal Pandita said that since Shivratri festival is commencing in near future as such ration supplies need to be ensured on all ration depots meant for Migrants so that these migrants may not have to suffer due to lack of ration supplies on this religious festival. He said that due to non-availability of ration items at ration depots the Migrants have to suffer a lot. He also said that since part of January month has expired still yet the ration supplies have not been ensured which has further added to the suffering of this migrant community. "Since the existing ration depots in Jagti do not meet the requirements of the inmates of the this camp as such has appealed for sanctioning additional two ration depots for Jagti Migrant camp so that the inmates of this camp will be able to procure smooth ration supplies," he added and said the participants have appealed the government for enhancing the cash assistance relief as the present cash assistance relief doesn't meet the requirements, of a family when the prices of all essential commodities have gone sky up. He appealed to Governor for directing the concerned authorities for ensuring timely ration supplies for the migrants so that this community may not have to suffer further more. He further appealed Director General of Police J&K for conducting an on spot recruitment rally for ensuring recruitment of the educated youth in Police department, at Jagti Migrant camp. |
