Hit 'n' run case: Police call of search operation for service weapon 1/22/2015 11:24:59 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 22: Soon after receiving information about missing of service weapon of constable along with two magazines who was hit by an unidentified vehicle police launched a search operation for the missing weapon but the same was called off after it came to fore that injured was not in possession of weapon when hit. Police sources said that Head Constable of IRP 7th Bn Rameshwar Singh who was on night duty at Domana was hit by an unknown vehicle at Nagbani Domana while crossing road received severe injuries and shifted to GMC Jammu. "Meanwhile his Service Gun Carbine along with two loaded magazines against his name were not recovered from accident site, police sources said, adding, "in view of the weapon went missing the concerned police launched massive search in the area. "While the searches were on under the supervision of senior police officer Jammu along with SHO Domana, sources said and added that it was confirmed that injured jawan has not got his weapon issued on Wednesday as these were safe at the police station.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
