Jammu, Feb 5: Sacred Heart College of Education, Azad Colony Paloura, Jammu organized cleanliness drive in the vicinity of college surroundings on Thursday.
All NSS volunteers of the college assembled in the slum area and started a mass campaigning about cleanliness of the area, sanitation, physical health, personal hygiene, water usage and apprised the Jhuggi dwellers about impact of dirty surroundings, impure water and good usage of water also apprised them about education.
All children in the Jhuggi were informed and advised to join schools meant for them where mid-day meals will be served at the end all children were served refreshment and biscuits and toffees.
The proceedings of the programme ended in a good note. Programme Officer Prof. Jyoti Sharma and NSS members Prof. Raj Bakshi, Prof. Dev Chhaya, Prof. Shallini Mahajan and Prof. Kiran Manhas were also present in this compaign. |
