Beig controversial statements had given room to speculations that Beig was ready to desert the party. During the day rumors about his leaving the party were doing rounds and many news persons were on toes to verify the veracity of such rumours. Answering questions on a news channel he said that the issue of chief ministership will be discussed only after that. "The process for making a Common Minimum Programme is on. It has reached a very advanced stage but yet not completed," Shah said. He added "It is only after the finalisation of the CMP that issues like who will be the Chief Minister and from which party, will be discussed," Shah told the news channel. He said that right now what should be understood is that the two parties have come together to help each other in the Rajya Sabha elections from the state. Jammu and Kashmir is under Governor's rule since January 8 following a highly-fractured mandate in Assembly elections held in December last year. |
