Jammu, Feb 5: A 26 Episode serial 'SHIKAST' will telecast tomorrow on DD Urdu which was based on famous novel Shikast written by late Krishan Chander.
Addressing media persons, Ravi Braroo said that the treatment of the serial is realistic, as is that of the great novel Shikast.
"The characters are authentic and they are not black or white but have their own grey shades. They are having ulterior motives, but at the same time they have firm convictions and beliefs also, whether rightly or wrongly, are a different matter", he said.
Braroo further said that the male domination and powerful ones, dictating and designing the lives of those who are weak and lessor persons, is strongly underlined. Simultaneously the suffocation of the victims, who are in shackles of the society and it's powerful bosses is projected vividly.
The serial is all along in the lap of nature, which has been the heart and soul of Krishan Chander and which cannot be lost at any cost. Screen Play and Dialouge Ravi Braroo, Associate Directors of the serial Sandeep Dhar and Sahiba Bhat and Producer Director of the serial is Ravi Braroo.
Rahul Sharma , Neha Bhardwaj, Vinay Raina, Rani Bhan, Shammi Malhotra, Janak Khujuria, Madan Rangila, Pankaj Sharma, Laxmi Tagotra, Deepak Virdi, Subash Jamwal, Lalita Tapsvi, Tapeswar Dutta, Ravi Braroo were the main artists of Serial.
