CAPD attaches two employees in ration embezzlement 2/21/2015 11:08:54 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Feb 21 : Directorate of Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution, CAPD today took action against convicted employees whose names came into limelight yesterday when locals and Police officers caught a dealer of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) red handed while bidding to unload subsidized government ration in a private mill. Police seized 120 bags of ration meant for Chak Ganga Ram village of Kathua. In an government order 52-DCAPDJ of 2015 dated 21.02.2015, Directorate CAPD Jammu attached Ashok Kumar I/c Tehsil Supply Officer, TSO Hiranagar and Nek Ram, Storekeeper, Food Store, Hiranagar. CAPD said that the pending inquiry into their conduct Ashok Kumar and Nek Ram storekeeper, Food store Hiranagar are hereby attached in AD office Kathua with immediate effect. While consequent upon the attachment of TSO Hiranagar and Store keeper in AD Office Kathua, CAPD has issued another order no 53 where Jaswant Singh I/c Supervisor of Jai Sarswati Roller Flour Mill is transferred and posted as I/c TSO CAPD Hiranagar. Jagdish Raj TSO Supervisor Amrit Roller Flour Mill shall temporarily hold the charge of supervisor Jai Sarswati Roller Flour Mill in addition to his own duties. Kaka Ram, working as Control clerk in TSO Hiranagar shall temporary hold the charge of I/c Storekeeper Food Store Hiranagar in addition to his own duties till further duties. It is pertinent that Romy Sharma, Gen. Secy. Youth Congress accompanied with dozens of protesters staged protest demonstration in Hiranagar and demanded stern action against all district level staff members and said such type of attachments were done in previous years too but no severe action was taken against other convicts. He said how they can believe that government will take severe action against Hiranagar staff that attached in AD office Kathua. When contacted to Director CAPD, GS Chib, he ensured to take stern action against Hiranagar staff and Assistant Director Kathua. He said that nobody will be left without inquiry whose involvement will be seen in the menace.
