| MLA Dr Bhagat chairs meeting to review H1N1 preparedness | | | Early Times Report
R S Pura, Feb 21: MLA R S Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat today visited Community Health Centre (CHC) R S Pura and chaired a meeting of health officials of RS Pura block to take stock of preparedness of health department against 'Swine-Flu.'
During meeting the concerned Block Medical Officer (BMO) informed MLA Dr Gagan Bhagat that adequate measure have been taken to tackle the spread of H1N1 Virus. After getting first hand report, Dr Gagan Bhagat directed the BMO concerned to immediately start 'Flu-OPD, and set up an "Isolation Ward" for suspected cases and also sought daily update about Flu-OPD.
While interacting with the media Dr Bhagat said that there is no need to panic and just follow the guidelines issued by the Health officials specially avoid crowded places. He also said that the medicine for swine flu is available with the Govt Hospitals and shall be taken only on the instructions of health officials.
Later on MLA Dr Bhagat accompanied with BMO RS Pura Dr Des Raj, CHO and others also visited PHCs at Simbal Camp, Rathana, Salehar and Maralia to review their functioning. |
