GRP books 7 persons for begging at Railway Stations | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 21: With a view to curb the menace of begging Government Railway Police Jammu under the guidelines of Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu started a drive to book the persons begging at Railway Stations under relevant sections of law. This practice shall not only help to upkeep the image of J&K among the outside visitors but shall also help to reduce the crime and apprehension of unscrupulous elements roaming in the guise of beggars. Seven persons were booked under section 55/109/Cr.PC and isteghasa against the same stands produced before the Executive Magistrate Ist Class Jammu against the said persons after completing all the legal formalities. Moreover jawans of GRP Jammu noticed one person namely Sanjeecv Kumar @ Kali son of Bachan Lal resident of R.S. Pura Ward No. 7 age about 25 years in unconscious condition. On the directions of Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu the said boy was lifted in vehicle of GRP Jammu and was got admitted at GMC Jammu by GRP men. Proper aid was provided timely to the said person and his life was saved. After the medical treatment and legal formalities the said boy was handed over to his family members who lauded the role of GRP Jammu. |
