| Bank security training for Defence veterans held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 21: Western Command under the visionary stewardship GOC-in-C, Western Command Lt Gen KJ Singh organised one week's training capsule for defence Veterans and Retirees (serving soldiers on the verge of retirement) with the aim to empower them for a second career.
The training was organised at Chandimandir Cantt from 16 to 21 February 15 under the aegis of Directorate of Resettlement Zone West in collaboration with State Bank of India. A total of 65 personnel attended the capsule which focused on the specifics of bank security.
The training included actual crime & security preparedness, case studies of bank robberies, use of bank security devices, handling of bank fire security apparatus and site visits to bank premises.
While SBI provided the faculty and specialised equipment, Western Command lent the requisite administrative support to ensure that the capsule was run in a smooth and efficient manner. The closing Ceremony cum Certificate Awards Function was held as a professionally organised event, conducted with the usual military elan and precision, at the Command HQ on 21 February 15. |
